Without a doubt, the 7547 Hybrid 1X and the 7548 Hybrid Short 1X are the must-have for zander fishing. They are ultra-sharp with a slightly inward-pointing tip to penetrate the bony cartilage of zanders.
Hybrid UV / Bladed Hybrid

The detail that can make the difference: add a 7548 Bladed Hybrid or a 7547 Hybrid UV to trigger the attack. The blade adds vibration and luminous flashes that can truly entice zanders, while the UV tinsels provide an additional UV stimulus. The latest addition to VMC®'s jighead range is the Dart Jig. As the name suggests, it allows for darting, meaning erratic swimming action that moves your lure randomly from side to side with the slightest movement of your rod. Animated with small twitches, this jighead can entice inactive fish due to its highly erratic swimming action. This type of animation is highly appreciated by perchs. In the smaller weights (3g, 5g, 7g), it should work wonders.
Available in Ghost Chartreuse for a strong contrast with the water or in Matt Craw for a more natural appearance. As usual, both work; you just need to alternate and experiment to find the right combo of jighead+lure.
Its ultra-sharp and rather thin but sturdy hook will easily penetrate zander mouths. Be aware: it's thin but strong. During testing phases, the testing teams in France, Italy and Spain caught numerous catfish. Available in 3, 5, 7, 10, 14g.
TWITCHIN JIG
Available from 2024, VMC's Twitchin Jig lead head will undoubtedly stand out due to its technicality and incredible swimming action:
Rabbit skin for completely wild swimming action. During vertical tests, the results were astonishing. The unique property of rabbit skin is its ability to expand and contract with water, providing significant value underwater. Without any animation required, the Twitchin Jig clearly made a difference on many occasions. In a linear approach, its swimming action remains the same, but you have the option to vary the intensity of the animations. Our advice: no need for extensive animations on this head; small twitches will suffice to entice them!
