Spark Point®
VMC’s latest premium point technology for ultimate performance hooks. A point hardened by forming, followed by chemical sharpening is the recipe for permanent hook sharpness. Front and back reinforcement ribs guarantee the point’s rigidity. Energy channels increase the speed of penetration and the point’s driving force upon striking.

Fastgrip® point
The first point with three micro-barbs to ensure that hook setting is instant with only 1/3 of the pressure of a regular hook.
Whilst the upper micro-barb guarantees swift hook-bite, the two lower micro-barbs prevent the fish from slipping off, even when the line is slack. The Fastgrip point also reduces damage compared to a regular barbed hook : it lessens bleeding and prevents wounding. Catch and release fishing practices are significantly improved.
Barbarian® shape
The unique design of the technical locking curve allows a maximum transfer of energy towards the point while setting the hook. This results in a faster and more effortless penetration of the point and up to 25% improved hooking rate.
The hook’s V shape locks the fish close to the shank, applying less pressure on the point. This prevents big fish from opening the hook and self-releasing.
Tests have proven that the unique geometry of the VMC Barbarian shape increases a hook’s resistance to opening.

Vanadium® steel

Vanadium is much lighter than regular high carbon steel, a great advantage when assembling the hook on a lure or fishing with live bait. You can also afford to have a thinner wire diameter without compromising on resistance.
